Terms of Service for NotebookLM Power

Welcome to NotebookLM Power! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NotebookLM Power Chrome Extension ("Extension"), provided by Digital Planet AS ("we," "us," or "our"), registered in Norway.

By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

1. Description of Service

NotebookLM Power is a browser extension that enhances the functionality of Google NotebookLM by providing tools such as batch importing, merging, translation, and YouTube transcription extraction.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

• Billing: Access to premium features requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, Stripe.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your premium access will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
• No Refunds: All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially used billing periods unless required by applicable law.

3. Acceptable Use and Fair Usage

To ensure high-quality service for all users and manage our server/API costs, your use of the Extension is subject to Fair Usage. You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to send requests through the Extension.
• Intentionally overload, disrupt, or bypass our servers or API limits.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Extension's code.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without a refund if we detect abusive, automated, or excessive usage that degrades the experience for others or incurs unreasonable API costs.

4. Third-Party Dependencies

The Extension interacts with third-party platforms, including Google NotebookLM, YouTube, and various AI providers (e.g., Gemini AI).

• "As Is" Basis: We do not control these third-party platforms. If Google updates NotebookLM or YouTube changes its structure, the Extension may temporarily or permanently lose functionality. We are not liable for any downtime or loss of features caused by third-party changes.

5. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

Features such as Translation and Smart Sort utilize artificial intelligence. While we strive for high quality, AI-generated content can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any translated or AI-processed content (especially medical, legal, or factual data from sources like PubMed) before relying on it. We assume no liability for errors in AI outputs.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIGITAL PLANET AS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Planet AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising out of your use or inability to use the Extension. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the Extension after changes implies your acceptance of the new Terms.
