Digital Planet AS ("we," "us," or "our") operates the NotebookLM Power Chrome Extension ("Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you use our Extension.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization and collect only what is strictly necessary to provide our service:

• Personal Information (Paid Users Only): If you upgrade to a premium plan, we collect your email address to authenticate your account and manage your subscription. Payments are processed securely via Stripe; we do not collect or store your credit card details.
• Web Page Content and URLs: To function, the Extension requires access to the active web pages you choose to process (e.g., YouTube URLs, web articles). This data is accessed solely when you actively use features like "Batch add," "Merge," or "Add as Text."
• Activity Logs: Your history of added sources is stored locally on your device (Local Storage). We do not collect or track your browsing history on our servers.

2. How We Process and Store Your Data

• Local Storage: By default, your activity logs, preferences, and merged documents are stored locally in your browser.
• Server Processing: When you use features like Video Transcription, Merging, Translation, or Smart Sort, the specific URLs or texts are temporarily sent to our secure servers to perform the requested action. We do not permanently store your content on our servers; it is processed ephemerally and discarded after the function is complete.
• AI Processing: We utilize third-party AI services (e.g., Gemini AI) to provide translation and smart sorting features. The data sent to these APIs is used exclusively for returning the requested result and is not used to train our or third-party AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the Extension:

• Stripe: For payment processing and subscription management.
• Analytics: We may use basic, anonymized analytics to understand how the Extension is used (e.g., feature usage frequency) to improve the product. We do not collect IP addresses or device crash logs.
• AI Providers: To power features like Translation and Smart Sort.

4. Google Chrome Limited Use Policy

The NotebookLM Power extension's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only use the data to provide the core features of the Extension.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for personalized advertising.
• We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information immediately.

6. Your Data Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

• To delete your data or cancel your account: Please contact us at dev@digitalplanet.no from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Local Data: You can clear your local Activity Log at any time directly through the Extension's interface or by clearing your browser's local storage.
